Deviled Baked Steak


2 lb boneless round steak

3/4 cup flour

1 tsp dry mustard

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

3 tbsp oil

1 onion-sliced

1 14 1/2 oz can tomatoes with liquid-cut up

1 carrot-diced

1 tsp brown sugar

2 tsp worchestershire


Cut the steak into serving size pieces. Combine the flour,mustard,salt and pepper and pound into the steak pieces. Heat the oil in a large skillet and brown the steak. Place the meat in a large baking dish and top with the sliced onion. Combine the tomatoes with the carrot,brown sugar and worchestershire sauce and pour over steak and onions. Cover and bake at 325 for 1 1/2-2 hrs or til meat is tender. Transfer the meat to a serving platter and keep warm. Pout the sauce into a skillet and simmer to reduce to desired consistency.
