Wassail Bowl



Ingredients


2 qts apple cider
or juice

3 cinnamon sticks

2 Tsp whole allspice

2 Tsp whole cloves

1 6oz can frozen orange juice

1 6oz can frozen lemonade

1 750 ml bottle dry white wine

4 cups water

3/4 cup packed light brown sugar

Orange and lemon slices for garnish


Directions

In a large (5 qt or more) pot, heat the cider,cinnamon,allspice and cloves just to boiling.

Reduce heat to low,cover and simmer for 15 min.

Place lemon and orane slices in a heat proof punchbowl.

Add frozen juices,wine,water and brown sugar to cider.

Increase heat to high and bring mixture just to a boil.

Pour hot punch over fruit in punchbowl.
