Focaccia


Ingredients


1 1/2 cups warm water (110 deg)

2 1/2 Tsp yeast(1 envelope)

6 Tbsp olive oil

3 1/4 cup flour

2 Tsp salt

1 Tsp kosher,coarse or sea salt


Directions

Dissolve the yeast in the warm water then add 3 Tbsp of the olive oil.

In a large bowl, mix the flour and regular salt together then add in the yeast mixture.

Stir until well combined.

Place in a greased bowl and cover.

Let rise til double in size.

Using the remaining olive oil, oil a baking pan and turn dough out onto pan,pressing it completely to sides and corners.

This time,cover with a piece of oiled plastic wrap and again let double in size.

Press fingertips into dough to make "dimples" then sprinkle on kosher salt.

Bake at 450 deg for 25 min or until golden in color.

Variations - add any toppings you like such as chopped,fresh herbs,cheeses,tomato,onion,garlic,etc.
