Angel Food Cake


1 1/2 cups egg whites
(12 or 13 egg whites)

1 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar

1/2 tsp. salt

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

1 cup plus 1 Tbsp. flour


Begin beating egg whites.

When eggs are frothy, add in cream of tartar and salt.

Continue beating until the egg whites will stand upright.

Fold in the flour and the sugar.

Pour into ungreased tube pan and bake for one hour at 325 degrees.
