Boiled Icing
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/8 Tsp Cream of tartar
1 Tsp vanilla
3/4 cup boiling water
2 egg whites
pinch salt
Directions
Beat egg whites to stiff peaks.
In a heavy pan,combine the sugar,water,salt and cream of tartar.
Stir until sugar,salt and cream of tartar have dissolved.
Bring mixture to a boil and boil to a soft ball stage (236 deg).
Slowly pour mixture over the egg whites.
Add in the vanilla
Beat mixture until thick and creamy.
