Kate Smith Coffee Cake


Ingredients


For the cake

1 egg

1/4 cup butter-melted

1/3 cup milk

1 cup flour

1/4 cup sugar

2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup bran flake-crushed


For the topping

2 tsp butter

2 tbsp brown sugar

1/3 cup bran flakes-crushed


Directions

Combine the egg,melted butter and the milk.

Mix the flour,sugar,baking powder and salt.

Stir the dry ingredients into the egg mix.

Add in the bran flakes.

Spread into a greased 8x8 inch pan.

Combine the topping ingredients and sprinkle over the top of the cake.

Bake at 375 for 18-22 min or til tests done with a toothpick.

Serve warm.
