1 1/3 cups sugar

Pinch of salt

1/3 cup of water

1 jar marshmallow cream (1 pint)

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup chopped nuts (your choice)


Place the marshmallow cream in a large bowl and set aside.

Combine the sugar,salt and water in a heavy pot,bring to a boil and cook to "hard ball" stage (250-266 deg).

Slowly pour the hot mixture over the mashmallow cream and beat until well blended.

Stir in the vanilla and nuts.

Drop by teaspoonful onto waxed paper to cool.

The old saying is true......... do not attempt to make divinity on a rainy or humid day as it will not "set up" correctly.
