Gum Drops
Ingredients
2 Tbsp unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup cold water
3/4 cup boiling water
2 cups sugar
Flavorings of choice
Food colorings of choice
sugar or powdered sugar for coating
Directions
Soften gelatin in the cold water.
In a pan,combine the sugar and boiling water and let boil for 5 min.
Add in the gelatin,stirring until it is dissolved.
Bring mixture back to a slow boil and let it boil for 15 min..
Divide mixture into 3 portions adding flavorings and drops of food coloring as desired.
Dip shallow pans into cold water then pour in gum drop mixture.
Let mixture sit overnight then cut in small squares.
roll in sugar or powdered sugar.
