Ingredients


2 cups brown sugar

1/2 cup cream

2 Tbsp butter

1/3 cup shredded coconut

1/3 cup chopped dates
(or other dried fruit)

1/3 cups chopped nuts of choice


Directions


In a heavy saucepan over medium heat,stir together the sugar,cream and butter.

Bring mixture to a boil and boil to soft ball stage.

Remove from heat, cool to room temperature and beat until creamy.

Add coconut,nuts and fruit (if using).

Continue beating until mixture holds its shape.

Pour into a well buttered,shallow pan and cool before cutting into squares.
