Gingersnaps 2


1/2 cup brown sugar

1 cup molasses

1/2 cup shortening

1 Tsp salt

1 Tbsp ground ginger

1 Tsp baking soda

2 cups flour


Cream the shortening and brown sugar.

Heat the molasses to boiling then add the ginger and salt.

Let molasses cool and then add to creamed mixture.

Sift together the flour,salt and baking soda then add to creamed mix.

Chill dough overnight.

Place dough on lightly floured board and roll into a this sheet.

Cut with floured cookie cutter of choice.

Place cookies on lightly oiled cookie sheet.

Bake at 375 deg for 12 min.
