Lady Fingers


Ingredients


3 egg whites

2 egg yolks

1/3 cup cake flour

1/3 cup powdered sugar

1/2 Tsp vanilla

1/4 Tsp orange flavoring

1/4 Tsp salt


Directions


Beat the egg whites to stiff peaks.

Sift powdered sugar and gently fold into the beaten whites.

Beat yolks til thick then add in salt,vanilla and orange flavoring.

Combine yolk mixture with the whites/powdered sugar.

Sift and remeasure the cake flour then very gently fold into the rest of the mix.

Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Pipe lady fingers with a large pastry tube to about 4 inches long and 1 inch wide.

Bake at 375 deg for 10 min.

As soon as cookies are removed from the oven, take 2 and stack bottom to bottom then let cool.

Lightly dust with powdered sugar.
