Pecan Pie Bars


Ingredients


1/2 cup butter
(no substitutes)

3 Tbsp powdered sugar

1 cup flour plus 1 Tbsp

3 eggs

3/4 cup brown sugar-packed

1/4 Tsp salt

3/4 cup corn syrup
light or dark - your choice

1/4 Tsp vanilla

3/4 cup chopped pecans


Directions


Toss the pecans in the 1 Tbsp flour and set aside.

Cream the butter and powdered sugar.

Gradualy add the 1 cup flour,mixing until well blended.

Press dough into the bottom of an unoiled 9 inch square pan and bake at 350 deg until lightly browned.

Remove crust from oven and let cool while preparing rest of cookies.

In a separate bowl,beat the eggs then add the brown sugar, corn syrup,salt and vanilla mixing until batter is smooth.

Stir in the lightly floured pecans then pour mixture over baked crust.

Bake at 350 deg for 40-45 min or until set.

Let cool, and then cut into bars.
