Snickerdoodles

Ingredients


1 cup butter-softened

1 1/2 cup sugar

2 eggs

2 3/4 cup flour

2 tsp cream of tartar

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp salt

cinnamon-sugar mixture


Directions

Thoroughly mix together the butter,sugar and eggs.

Sift together the flour,cream of tartar,baking soda and salt.

Stir the dry ingredients into the butter mixture and blend well.

Chill dough for at least 1 hour.

Roll small amount of sough into a walnut sized ball and then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

Place 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 400 for 6-8 min or til light golden brown.

*Note: Some recipes add 2 tsp of vanilla or other flavoring extract but it is not necessary as there is plenty of flavor from the cinnamon.
