Cherry Tart


For the Crust

1 cup butter

2 cups flour

1 cup sugar

1 cup chopped pecans

For the Topping

8 oz. cream cheese

1 cup of powdered sugar

12 oz. frozen whipped topping

2 cans of cherry pie filling



Mix together all ingredients and press into bottom of a 9"x13" pan.

Bake at 350 deg just til golden brown.

Set aside to cool.

For the Topping

Mix cream cheese,powder sugar,and cool whip together until it is thick and fluffy.

Spread over cooled crust.

Spoon pie filling on top.

Keep chilled until ready to serve.

Other toppings such as blueberry or apple pie filling may also be used.
