Cinnamon Apples
Ingredients
6 small apples
1/4 cup red cinnamon candies
2 cups sugar
2 cups water
Directions
Wash,peel and core the apples.
In a large but deep pot, combine the sugar,water and candy.
Bring mixture to a boil and boil for 5 min.
Add the apples to the syrup and reduce heat to just a simmer.
Cook unti apples are tender.
May substitute cinnamon stick(or cinnamon extract) and red food coloring for the candies.
