Teriyaki Orange Fish


1 lb fish filets

1 tsp grated orange rind

1/2 cup orange juice

1 tbsp minced onion

1 tbsp shoyu(soy sauce)

1 tsp fresh ginger-grated

1/2 tsp sugar

1 tbsp water

1 tsp cornstarch


Place the fish in a single layer in a large skillet.

Combine the orange peel,orange juice,onion,shoyu,ginger and the sugar and pour over the fish.

Bring to a boil,reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes or until the fish flakes easily and is done.

Gently remove the fish to a serving platter and keep warm.

Mix together the water and cornstarch.

Bring the skillet juices to a boil again and stir in the water-cornstarch.

Continue boiling til sauce has thickened and then pour over warm fish.
