Custard Pie


2 cups whole milk

5 Tbsp sugar

1/2 Tsp nutmeg

3 eggs

1/8 Tsp salt

1/2 Tsp vanilla


Beat the eggs until yolks and whites are well blended.

Add the sugar,salt,nutmeg and vanilla and mix well.

Scald the milk and slowly add it to the egg mixture,stirring constantly.

Pour into pie shell and bake at 425 deg until knife inserted into center of pie comes out clean.

Lightly dust top of pie with a little more nutmeg juat at the end of baking time.
