Praline Pumpkin Pie


For the crust

1 10 inch unbaked pie shell

1/3 cup pecans-finely chopped

1/3 cup brown sugar-packed

3 tbsp butter-softened

For the filling

3 eggs-lightly beaten

1 lb can pumpkin

1/2 cup brown sugar-packed

1/2 cup sugar

2 tbsp flour

3/4 tsp cinnamon

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp ground ginger

1/4 tsp ground cloves

16 oz half and half


For the crust

Combine the pecans,butter and brown sugar.

Press onto the bottom of the unbaked pie shell.

Prick the sides of the pastry with a fork.

Bake at 450 for 10 minutes,cool and set aside.

For the filling

Combine the eggs,brown sugar,sugar,flour,cinnamon,salt,ginger,and cloves.

Stir in the pupmkin.

Gradually stir in the half and half.

Pour into the prepared pie shell.

Sprinkle with additional pecans if desired.

Bake at 350 for 45-50 min or til set and a knife inserted in center comes out clean.

Cool completely before cutting.
