Poppyseed Dressing


1 cup sugar

1 Tbsp salt
or to taste

2 Tsp dry mustard

2 Tbsp grated onion

2/3 cup vinegar
your choice of type

2 cups good olive oil

3 Tbsp poppyseeds


In a blender or food processor, combine the sugar,salt,dry mustard,onion and vinegar.

Process until well blended and sugar has dissolved.

With the blender or food processor still running, very slowly drizzle in the olive oil and process until mixture is smooth and thick.

Stir in the poppyseeds.

Store in the fridge in an airtight jar for up to 2 weeks
