Oyster Stew
Ingredients
2 cups oysters
3 Tbsp butter
4 cups milk
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Cover oysters with water and simmer until the edges begin to curl then drain well.
Scald the milk and add the oysters,butter,salt and pepper.
Heat thoroughly.
Variations:
Substitute 2 cups of milk with 1/2 and 1/2 or heavy cream.
Add cooked and diced potatoes.
