Cheddar Cabbage Wedges


Ingredients


1 medium head cabbage(about 3 lbs)

1/2 cup green pepper-chopped

1/4 cup onion-chopped

1/4 cup butter

1/4 cup flour

1/2 tsp salt

1/8 tsp pepper

2 cups milk

3/4 cup cheddaar cheese-shredded

1/2 cup mayo

3 tbsp chili sauce


Directions

Cut the cabbage into 8 wedges leaving part of the core on each section.

Steam the wedges in boiling,salted water for 10 minutes or til crisp-tender.

Drain and remove the core.

Place wedges in a greased baking dish.

Saute the green pepper and onion in the butter until both are tender.

Stir in the flour,salt and pepper and stir until bubbly.

Gradually add the milk and cook,stirring constantly til mixture has thickened.

Pour mixture over the cabbage and bake at 375 for 15 minutes.

Combine the cheese,mayo and chili sauce.

Spoon over cabbage and return to oven for 5 minutes.
