Green Beans with Cherry Tomatoes


1 1/2 lb fresh green beans

1 1/2 cup water

1/4 cup butter

1 tbsp sugar

1 1/2 tsp dried basil

1/2 tsp garlic salt

1/4 tsp salt

1/8 tsp pepper

2 cup cherry tomatoes-halved

3 fresh basil leaves


Cut beans into 2 inch pieces.

Place the beans and water in a pan and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat,cover and simmer for 15 minutes or til tender.

In a skillet,melt the butter and stir in the sugar,dried basil,garlic salt,salt and pepper.

Add the tomatoes and heat through.

Drain the beans and place in serving dish.

Top with tomato mixture and then the fresh basil.
