Scalloped Cabbage


4 cups cabbage-chopped

3 tbsp cooking oil

3 tbsp flour

1/2 tsp salt

Dash pepper

1 cup milk

1 cup cheddar cheese-shredded

3/4 cup bread crumbs

2 tbsp butter-melted


Place cabbage in a casserole dish and set aside.

Heat the oil over medium heat and stir in flour,salt and pepper cooking til bubbly.

Gradually add in milk and cook,stirring constantly til thickened.

Fold in the cheese and pour over the cabbage.

Combine the bread crumbs with the melted butter.

Sprinkle over cabbage and sauce.

Bake,uncovered,at 350 for 20-30 minutes.
